Wine tasting & aw with winery MASI

Blanche & Hierta, Friday 22 Sep

It will be an evening with Amarone, great company and really good fermented grapes. And one and another anecdote from the rich history of Masi!

Masi is one of Italy’s most reputable wineries and a main player in the Italian wine market. The heart of the business is the original vineyard Vaio di Masi, in the heart of the Valpolicella district, which the Boscaini family bought in the late 18th century.

Today, Masi includes seventeen vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area, but also has vineyards in Bardolino and Soave. The whole business is led by Sandro Boscaini, or Mr Amarone, as he is commonly called. It is perhaps just because it’s Amarone Masi is most famous for. The first Amarone launched in Sweden in 1994 was Masis Vaio Armaron. Today, Masi produces five varieties of Amarone, three of which are vineyard exclusives.
