OCTOBER SOMMELIER’S PICK – RIESLING
It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines. Riesling wines are seldom oaked and therefore a great option for guests who want something completely different from the traditionally well-known Chardonnay based wines. The grape variety is mostly planted in Germany, Austria, Alsace and parts of Australia. Riesling wines have grown in recognition in recent decades and therefore become one of the most popular varieties in the world.
