Lonely Christmas Tree Seeking Presents

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and at At Six we are spreading Christmas cheer. Help us make this season a magical one for children in need by collecting donations to our Lonely Christmas Tree Project!

Helping the children who need it the most

Christmas is a wonderful time of traditions, both new and old. For many children, however, this is not always a season of joy. That’s why we have a yearly tradition at At Six — we call it Lonely Christmas Tree Seeking Presents. Every year in December, we invite you to give a gift to some of the children who need it the most, by purchasing one of our Christmas ornaments to a sum of your choice. You can then choose to hang it in the tree in our lobby, take it home to hang in your tree or give it to someone as a gift. The donations we collect during this time will go straight to the foundation Lean on Me.

Where do the gifts go?

All received Christmas gifts at our hotel are donated to Lean on Me, an organization who works to improve the quality of life for children who have had a rough start in life, whether they have a serious illness, have been in a serious accident, or live in unstable conditions. They do this by creating happy and inspiring experiences for the children and providing support by people who have been through similar situations in life. You can read more about their important work at https://www.leanonme.nu/.

About the project
The Lonely Christmas Tree Project is part of a bigger initiative at Nordic Hotels & Resorts. Together with Giving Tuesday, a day that encourages people to do good, we want to take the opportunity to give back to our communities. Since 2012, Nordic Hotels & Resorts together with Nordic Choice Hotels have collected over 446,370 gifts and donations in the Lonely Christmas Tree Project. For this, we are forever thankful.

Do you want to keep contributing? Share your participation on social media and help us to collect even more Christmas gifts and donations! Make sure to use the hashtag #lonelychristmastree when posting.
