An intimate wine bar

Blanche & Hierta is a wine bar that may be small in size but grand in the tastes that it offers. A cellar extensive enough to be regarded as an atlas of the world’s most prominent and forward-thinking houses, countries, and producers, it features bottles that you’re unable to find anywhere else in Stockholm. The wine list is updated regularly and composed by over 400 exciting labels for all tastes. 

The food concept is rustic; Delicious and flavorsome bistro dishes that go great with a variety of vintages, grapes, and terroirs.

In the morning, our kitchen serves their version of a la carte breakfast classics with the same high notion of excellence.

MARCH’S SOMMELIER PICK

NORTH COAST, CALIFORNIA

From quiet vineyards bounded by lush redwood forests along the Mendocino Coast, to the sun-drenched rolling hills of rugged Lake County, the North Coast of California has about as varied a wine country as you can get.
Near the Pacific, where summer fog and wet winters make for some of the coolest wine-growing climate in the region, organic and sustainable farming techniques are the norm.
On the county’s west side, Anderson Valley, cooled by ocean fog, produces sublime Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer. On the other hand, warmer Redwood Valley showcases hearty reds wines made of Zinfandel. Finally, the sunny Lake County is best known for its impressive Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc wines.
The region has four main wine areas (Sonoma, Napa, Clear Lake and Mendocino County) which we will be exploring as throughout the month.

Dunn Vineyards, Napa
Since 1979, Randy and Lori Dunn have owned and operated Dunn Vineyards which produces one of the most highly acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignons in the area of Howell Mountain. Nowadays, their wines are better than ever, reputed and respected worldwide.

Williams Selyem, Sonoma
Williams Selyem Winery began as a simple dream of two friends, Ed Selyem and Burt Williams, who started weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979. It took less than two decades from their first commercial vintage in 1981 for Burt and Ed to create a cult-status winery of international acclaim. Together, they set a new standard for Pinot Noir winemaking in the United States.

Plan a date, a meeting or pop by for a cup of fresh brew! From 07.30 on weekday mornings and 09.00 on Saturday mornings Blanche & Hierta invites you to enjoy freshly brewed organic coffee and innovative breakfast creations.

There will be bread in all forms and shapes from the At Six craft bakery, ricotta pancakes, omelettes, Eggs Benedict, and a range of creative desserts, croissants and other freshly baked goodies to choose from.
